DerwaysNew company set up by local vodka producer, Mercury-2. Their Cowboy, a sturdy off-roader built on Romanian Aro chassis went into production at the end of January, 2004.
The 27 th of January 2004 - the date of an official inauguration of "DERWAYS" automobile factory. But, the history of AC "DERWAYS" began a little bit earlier - in 2002 year. The marketing idea - to make the off-road vehicle of own development, which responds all requirements of comfort, and also have a high maneuverability, belongs to Vice-President of "Mercury-2" company Mr. Khadji-Murat Derev. At active support of the President of "Mercury-2" firm Vyacheslav Derev and technical director of the project Alexander Romanov, in winter of 2003 year had been collected the first running breadboard model of the vehicle. And exactly then the most important task has been set: the project should be realized during a year. And it has been successfully executed.
For comparison: Usual practice of domestic motor industry it is required about 10 years.
